Through the Building Brighter Futures: Bursaries and Scholarship Awards programs, Indspire has provided almost $65 million to almost 20,000 bursary and scholarship recipients to Canadian Indigenous students nationwide. All Canadian Indigenous individuals who are First Nation (status or non-status), Inuit or Métis and enrolled in full-time in a postsecondary institution are eligible to apply.
BUILDING BRIGHTER FUTURES: BURSARIES AND SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS PROGRAMS
The Building Brighter Futures: Bursaries and Scholarship Awards Programs are categorized into four areas of study. Types of eligible programs range from certificate level to graduate level. Students who are First Nation postsecondary students who may be sponsored by their bands are still eligible to apply.
Please check the Building Brighter Futures: Bursaries and Scholarship Awards program to which you wish to apply. In the event that the deadline date falls on a weekend, the deadline date will be the Friday before the due date.
This application deadline is for school terms between September 2014 to August 2015.
Students will be notified via email the last week of April of the Jury results.
Award Name: Post Secondary Education (PSE)
Students who apply to this program may also be considered for a FAAY postsecondary award
Eligible Fields of Study: Business, science, law, engineering, computer studies, education, social work, social sciences, and technical studies.
Type(s) of Program: Full-time 1 yr. certificate or diploma programs, undergraduate and graduate degree programs from an accredited postsecondary institution. Study outside of Canada is considered only at the graduate level.
Application Deadline: June 1st, November 1st and February 16th
